When you think of the most Brooklyn things to ever happen in Brooklyn, Barcade is likely near the top of the list. Exactly what you’d think it to be, Barcade is is both a craft beer bar and an ’80s style arcade, because the only thing to help quell drunken emotions is the comfort of nostalgia brought on by poor graphics and joystick-based gameplay.

Barcade originated in Wiliamsburg (obviously) in 2004, and has since added other locations around the tri-state area. Now, for the first time, Barcade is taking over a brewery, and it just so happens to be in Massachusetts. Cape Ann Brewing, Gloucester’s purveyor of the Fisherman’s series, will play host to the traveling Barcade outfit in its taproom pub. Sip on some offerings brewed right on site while emptying your sack of quarters for games like NBA Jam, Ms. Pac-Man, and of course, Tapper. Cape Ann Brewing, along with Barcade, is celebrating its tenth year, and now offers 13 beers total. The Barcade takeover, happening June 20th from 6 p.m. to closing, will feature brews such as the Fisherman’s Deadeye DIPA and the Fisherman’s Ironclad IPL. Put all that time spent at Dream Machine to good use– get out there and impress someone.
