Anyone could have expected above-average dancing at the wedding of professional ballet dancers Kirk Henning and Valerie Tellmann-Henning.
But Kirk really went all out at the reception.
The party was held on the same stage where Kirk and Valerie once danced together in the Richmond Ballet in Richmond, Virginia. Kirk sort of relived those old days, dancing on the stage yet again with Valerie by his side. This time, though, she looked totally surprised.
And this time, Kirk definitely wasn’t performing ballet.
Kirk surprised his bride with an elaborately choreographed dance, complete with groomsmen backup dancers.
The video includes many of Valerie’s reactions–which are precious, by the way–as she sits and watches the whole scene unfold.
The tracklist included recent hits like Mark Ronson “Uptown Funk” (featuring Bruno Mars), Classified’s “Higher,” and Enrique Iglesias’s “Bailando,” as well as oldies-but-goodies like “Crazy” by Britney Spears, “Danger Zone” by Kenny Loggins, and “The World” by Brad Paisley.
The dance took major dedication–the whole routine was more than eight minutes long.
But the groom’s party stuck it out to the finish.
