If there is one thing worth leaving your house for on a day so cold that Boston Public Schools are actually closed, it is a bar full of women talking about the growing cannabis industry. That is exactly what is happening tonight from 6:30-9pm at The Point, on Hanover Street in Boston, as the first meeting of the Women Grow Boston Chapter takes place. The group is a national network of female entrepreneurs working in the cannabis industry. Women Grow co-founder Jane West says she hopes young, professionals, who are curious will attend. Serial Talk: Where Will Season Two Go? Should It Come to Boston?

So much for a happy ending, or a clear ending at all. Yesterday, the first season of Serial, a wildly popular podcast that re-evaluated the murder conviction of Adnan Syed over a 12-week season, came to a close. Listeners hoping for a conclusive ending wrapped in a tight bow were disappointed, but they were also harboring unrealistic expectations. The show was presented and played out as an exploratory exercise. Creator Sarah Koenig was unsure how the story would unfold when she first started. Expecting a neat resolution was simply unrealistic. Instead, die-hard Serial fans will have to check back to see if an attempt to pin the murder on a now deceased serial killer through DNA testing will pan out. More

The Current Weird and Confusing Process of Getting Medical Marijuana in Mass.

Medical marijuana is now available in Massachusetts, but for most, the process for becoming a cardholder is not a typical medical experience. Many people are skipping a trip to their primary care doctor and paying cash to see a Medical Marijuana Consultant. Those who are approved are given a certificate that allows them to hold a 60-day supply, but they are not able to pick up their pot at a dispensary. Instead they need to enlist the services of a Personal Caregiver or grow their own. It’s hard to imagine this is how the process was supposed to go. More
