Boston, Providence Among Nation’s Least Bible-Minded Cities
Boston

A 10-year study conducted by the American Bible Society and Barna Group has found, to the surprise of no one, that the northeast is the nation’s least Bible-minded bastion. After polling nearly 63,000 people over the last decade, the study concludes Boston to be the third least Bible-minded city in the country with Providence, Rhode Island taking top (bottom?) honors. How the B Line’s Flaws Made Me a Better, More Empathetic Person
Commentary

I’d argue there are few things funnier in life than the faces people make when a Green Line trolley on the dreaded B line, seemingly arbitrarily, decides to go express and pass them right by. Beneath furrowed brows, they look both exhausted and resigned. Protest and acceptance together create a sad state of equilibrium in their wrinkles. Social planning

The effort to build a skate park under the Zakim Bridge has long been caked in toxic soil, twisted in bureaucracy, and snagged by miscommunication. The Charles River Conservancy (CRC), the Cambridge non-profit that spearheaded the project more than 10 years ago, exceeded its initial goal of raising $1.1 million for the park in 2006. Yet as of today, eight years later, the designated spot remains a brown field. More

Why, Exactly, it is a Struggle for Allston Rock City Hall and Other Boston Venues to Open
BDCWire

As you well recall, we gave you the virtual tour of Allston Rock City Hall (ARCH) back in January. Cleverly named after one of its neighborhood’s most endearing monikers, the Everett Street space was, at the time, getting ready to launch and showcase the local music scene. Given the thriving DIY scene that already exists in the neighborhood, as well as the number of established, if not iconic Allston venues, ARCH on the first floor of Studio 52 itself was in prime position to become a critical piece of Boston’s artistic culture. I’m a Cop, What Are You So Upset About?
Commentary

Oh, hello! I didn’t see you there, fellow human being with a pulse and probably a family or other such persons unknown to me that have a reasonable interest in your continued existence. You sure are lucky I didn’t blow your face clean off your body via the gun on my hip, what with my being a cop and all. Heh, we police really don’t like being sneaked up on, you know? More
