There’s no doubt that the cycling craze has hit Boston hard. On any given day you can see hordes of bikers racing down Commonwealth Avenue and swiftly zipping through the Fenway. How fitting then, that today, Boston will host the well-known traveling art exhibit known as ARTCRANK

ARTCRANK began in 2007 and stages live events featuring bicycle-inspired posters created by local artists. Having started out with a single show at a bike shop in Minneapolis ARTCRANK has since attracted over 30,000 people to ARTCRANK events in the U.S. and beyond.

Each ARTCRANK show features the work of 30 or more artists who live and work in the host city. These artists create an original poster design about bikes and what cycling means in their lives, and produce a limited edition of signed and numbered copies to show and sell. All posters are made by hand, using printing techniques like screen printing and letterpress.

From 4-10 PM tonight at Aeronaut Brewing. in Somerville, ARTCRANK BOS will feature hand-made, bike-inspired posters created by Boston area artists. Limited edition, signed and numbered copies of all posters will be available for $50 each.
