On October 26, 1984, the world was introduced to “The Terminator,” and its star Arnold Schwarzenegger’s now-ubiquitous catchphrase, “I’ll be back.” 30 years later, Ah-nold really is back, in a trailer for 2015’s “Terminator Genisys.”
The new film is slated to hit theaters July 1, 2015, and will feature Emilia “Daenerys Targaryen” Clarke, Matt “Dr. Who” Smith, and Jason “I haven’t had a single defining role everyone knows me by” Clarke, along with Arnold reprising his role as The Terminator.
Not much else is known about the film at this point, but if the trailer is any indication, it will lean heavy on references to the earlier “Terminator” films. Aside from featuring the classic lines “Come with me if you want to live” and “I’ll be back,” the trailer also has the liquid metal robots..
And an updated version of Robert Patrick’s T-1000 from “Terminator 2.”
Whether the film will live up to the earlier entries in the series is uncertain. But rest assured, “Terminator Genisys” will face its… Judgement Day.
