If you’ve been paying attention to Arcade Fire’s recent North American tour, you might have noticed a pattern: the band is incorporating covers into their sets (as bands tend to do), but with a local twist. For instance, their “soundclash” in L.A. earlier this summer featured the Beverly Hills Cop theme and the opening riff from “Welcome To The Jungle.”
At a recent show in Winnipeg, ArFi covered–you guessed it–Neil Young.
And just last night in Washington DC, it was Fugazi’s “Waiting Room.”
Wonder what they’ll have in store for us when they come to town on Tuesday night? Johnny L is hoping for Aerosmith. I’d settle for Pixies.
