Massachusetts has already set a record for most snowfall in a 30-day span, and there’s more on the way. While the numerous snow days are bringing joy to students (and a few office workers) across the state, teachers clearly have a little more time on their hands, if the recent spate of creative snow day announcements on YouTube are any indication.

Principal Chris Whitbeck of C.T. Douglas Elementary School in Acton gathered some staff members for a Risky Business-style snow day announcement, set to “What I Like About You” by the Romantics.

Featuring Whitbeck and several other Acton-Boxborough principals, the video revels in its low-fi glory. The poor sound mixing and kitschy shot selection are what makes the video so fun, though — it’s exactly the type of video anyone would make when bored on a snow day.

Plus, it’s way better than their snow day video effort from two weeks ago, set to Pitbull’s “Timber.”

Clearly Principal Whitbeck has been spending his snow days teaching himself Final Cut Pro in between spontaneous vacations to Hawaii.
