What’s Autumn in Massachusetts without The Big E? It has everything you want from a fair: rides, concerts, oversized pumpkins, local brews, delicious fried food… and weddings?

Yeah, weddings. A couple got married on top of the McDonald’s slide at The Big E this past weekend.

Mary Anne Purdy, 57 and John Romani, 61, got hitched at the fair in West Springfield Friday, MassLive reports.

Purdy and Romani, who both work for Westfield Public Schools, were one of about 20 couples who entered the “McNuptials” contest held by The Big E.

The prize: a sponsored wedding.

Couples made it to the finals—a public voting round—based on their answer to the question, “Why are you the perfect pair to be married at the giant slide?” according to MassLive.

Even Ronald McDonald himself was in attendance to oversee the whole thing.

Could this be the Massachusetts version of a Disneyland wedding?
