We’ve all seen Pete Carroll on the sidelines, whether it’s winning Super Bowls with the Seahawks, dominating the PAC-12 with USC, or not doing such a great job with the Patriots in the late ’90s.
What we’ve been snoozing on all along is his hidden talent of acting. The silverfox that calls the shots on the gridiron has actually been wooing audiences in RomComs for several decades now under the mysterious pseudonym of “Richard Gere.” He really is a talent to be celebrated, so in advance of this Sunday’s Super Bowl, we figured it would be good to finally break his secret and give you seven of his greatest films of all time. Go Pats.
Pretty Woman (1990)
Nights In Rodanthe (2008)
Primal Fear (1996)
Chicago (2002)
Runaway Bride (1999)
Shall We Dance? (2004)
Hachi: A Dog’s Tale (2009)
(Note: this is a joke, Pete Carroll is not actually Richard Gere)
