It’s a slow week for movies, but that doesn’t mean Hollywood is completely slacking. Friday, the Kevin Costner screen renaissance continues, Elizabeth Olsen keeps winning hearts, and when it doubt, there’s always a volcano erupting with dazzling visual effects.

1. 3 Days to Kill

Plot: Kevin Costner plays a spy who takes out a terrorist and also takes care of his teenage daughter who is now in his life for the first time in 10 years.

2. Almost Human
Director: Joe Begos
Starring: Josh Ethier, Graham Skipper, Vanessa Leigh
Plot: Mark Fisher, missing for years, has returned. But now his friend Seth believes there is something evil inside of Mark after a string of grisly, violent murders.

3. Barefoot
Director: Andrew Fleming
Starring: Evan Rachel Wood, Scott Speedman, Treat Williams
Plot: A son of a wealthy family and a young psychiatric patient attends his brother’s wedding.

4. Holy Ghost People

Starring: Emma Greenwell, Brendan McCarthy, Joe Egender
Plot: The goal is infiltrate the Church of One Accord to find Charlotte’s sister. Her unlikely partner is Wayne, an ex-Marine and alcoholic.

5. In Secret
Director: Charlie Stratton
Starring: Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Felton, Jessica Lange
Plot: Set in 1860s Paris, Therese (Olsen) is a sexually repressed young woman who is married to her sickly cousin (Felton). After meeting Laurent (Isaac), an adulterous relationship ensures.

6. Pompeii
Director: Paul W.S. Anderson
Starring: Kit Harington, Carrie-Anne Moss, Emily Browning
Plot: As Mount Vesuvius erupts in 79 A.D into a blazing lava, the slave gladiator Milo (Harington) races against time to save his true love Cassia (Browning).
